Bedbug Extermination

Bedbug Extermination

Bedbugs are stubborn little beasts. They are a growing problem in Carbondale and across the United States, and experts are unsure of the safest way to go about exterminating these pesky insects. The federal government recently rejected Ohio officials' request to use an industrial pesticide to fight household infestations of bedbugs. Bedbugs can live for up to a year without a meal, but they normally try to feed every five to 10 days. Although they are not known to transmit disease, they are extremely hard to eradicate, depending on the severity of the infestation. Some species of the pesky insects have been shown to have developed a resistance to pesticides.

Bee / Wasp Extermination

Termite Extermination

Termite Extermination

Termites feed on wood, and can, therefore, destroy a building in a relatively short amount of time. Because there are so very many of them in a nest, termites can cause constant, consistent damage at all hours of the day and night. The hidden nuances that cause up to $5 billion a year, termites can wreck havoc on your home or business, making the structure completely unstable and making your home or business an unsafe environment. These insects can maintain a single colony up almost 2 million, all constantly working their way through your building's support and structure. Because they work underneath the surface, termites are an issue that is often undetected until too late.

Rodents/Mice Extermination

Rodents/Mice Extermination

We have been a trusted part of Carbondale and the surrounding areas for a number of decades, and our reliable and efficient pest control will keep us that way for years to come. We handle almost every kind of pest you can think of: rats and other rodents, flies, moths, bees and most other kinds of insects and arachnids. We excel at what we do, giving both residents and business owners alike the peace of mind of knowing that "the problem is taken care of." Our services are additionally attractive when it comes to rodents, as we use both family and pet-friendly methods.

Red Ant Extermination

Red Ant Extermination

These ants range from dark brown to yellow, and are characterized by their tendency to find moist or wet wood, and pack damp sawdust against it to further and hasten the rot. These ants infest areas near water, like leaky plumbing areas, but are also found in soil, door frames, wood beams, and crawlspaces.

Mole Extermination

Mole Extermination

While they are often confused with rodents such as mice and rats, moles are actually mammalian insectivores and maintain completely different habits and diets than those for which they are often confused. There are several different kinds of moles, with the most common in North America being the eastern mole. Moles are harmless in nature, and only a nuisance to gardeners, those that practice lawn maintenance and both home and business owners, because of the havoc they can wreck on lawn appearance.

Spider Extermination

Spider Extermination

Spiders are some of the absolute most aggressive spiders to encounter and are often confused with other kinds of spiders due to their general appearance. They are brown with no markings at all, and can grow to between 11 to 14 mm length, not including legs. The female spider maintains a larger abdomen than the male.

When a client inquires about a professional pest management service, many times the first question is how much the service will cost. However, no two homes or two pest problems are exactly alike nor are two pest control companies exactly the same.

Inexperienced applications of over-the-counter pest control products are usually ineffective and can also be unsafe for pets, children and adults if used improperly. Also, most pests return unless you take steps to prevent them. In as little as 60 days, new infestations can develop.

By the time you make the decision to look into pest management services, you have most likely tried it by yourself. While store-bought solutions can kill some pests, they are not very effective at providing continuous prevention from re-infestation (you've probably found that most pests are relentless). Typical homeowners lack the time and expertise to handle specific pest situations that are encountered in and around your home or office.

Our first priority is the safety of our customers, as well as being good stewards of the environment. "Caring People — Careful Solutions?" means that we take the time to develop a customized pest control program and use strategic targeting, which enables us to use the least amount of pest control product while providing superior results. All materials are EPA approved and all technicians are trained in the safe handling and application of all materials.

All our job applicants are required to pass a series of interviews and background checks (which include criminal and drug tests) before they are even considered for employment. All technicians go through on-the-job training with a highly experienced trainer for the first month. Within the first 75 days, we send them to a registered technician school offered by the state of North Carolina. All of our employees are friendly, professional and know that our first priority is safety.

Information for Carbondale, Pennsylvania

Carbondale, city, Lackawanna county, northeastern Pennsylvania, U.S., on the Lackawanna River. Located in a mountain resort region, it is 16 miles (26 km) northeast of the city of Scranton. Settlers first arrived in the area in the early 1800s. The brothers William and Maurice Wurts, who were coal prospectors, discovered coal there in 1814. Previously known as Ragged Island and Barrendale, the site was renamed Carbondale in 1822 for the successful open-pit coal-mining operations established by the Wurtses there. The need for coal transport spurred the development of the Delaware and Hudson Canal (1825) and a gravity railroad, from Carbondale to Honesdale. TheStourbridge Lion(now in the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.), the first steam locomotive to operate on a railway in the United States, made its initial run on that lineAugust8, 1829, but proved impractical. Hauling via horses and mules was resumed. In June 1831 the nation's first underground anthracite mine was opened at Carbondale. With the decline of the coalfields, economic emphasis was switched to light industry. The Elk Mountain Ski Center is 12 miles (19 km) north. Inc. 1831. Pop. (2000) 9, 804; (2010) 8, 891.

Mole

We will get rid of yard mole problems. Call today.

Moles can leave unsightly damage to your lawn, including holes and mounds. If you are tired of seeing all the dirt, call your local technicians today to help overcome the mole mounds. Our methods are safe and effective, keeping you and your pets safe while driving the pests out, and fixing your lawn.

DESCRIPTION

While they are often confused with rodents such as mice and rats, moles are actually mammalian insectivores and maintain completely different habits and diets than those for which they are often confused. There are several different kinds of moles, with the most common in North America being the eastern mole. Moles are harmless in nature, and only a nuisance to gardeners, those that practice lawn maintenance and both home and business owners, because of the havoc they can wreck on lawn appearance.

APPEARANCE

Because they spend the vast majority of their lives underground, moles have no need for both sight and hearing; therefore, both their eyes and ears are almost nonexistent and can be tough to see with the naked eye. Moles are rather small animals, usually weighing about 3 ounces and only rarely growing longer than 6 inches. Eastern moles have soft, brown hair and webbed feet to better assist in their near-constant digging efforts.

HABITAT

Moles can be found in soft, loose soils, like that of meadows, woodlands, grasslands, and, as this topic of discussion, lawns. Moles live underground primarily to protect themselves from predators and because of the effective natural heat regulation of the ground. These adorable animals tend to avoid clay and rock rich soils, as it severely impedes their ability to dig efficiently. They prefer landscaped lawns due to how well the soil is taken care of - making it soft and perfect for digging.

ENTRY

Home and Yard Invasion

Because moles live almost exclusively underground, they will only in extreme circumstances enter a building. Moles are attracted to soft soils often used in grading and lawn care, or those used on golf courses and crop fields, as they have low acidity. Soils that feature high acidity repel moles and are therefore recommended for those seeking mole discouragement.

DAMAGE

Harm of People or Property

Moles are completely harmless to people; the only harm they cause is disrupting otherwise very aesthetically pleasing lawns or landscapes. The burrowing near the surface that moles exhibit leaves behind mounds of dirt. and may also kill both grass and plants where burrowing occurs. Moles in many numbers can destroy crop yields for farmers, sports fields, and otherwise lovely landscapes.

CONTROL AND SAFETY

Because moles live underground and out in open fields, setting and monitoring traps to ensure it captures moles instead of similarly sized rodents can be ridiculously tedious. To ensure the moles are actually caught, you should employ specialized services trained in the specific area of mole infestation control. While flooding moles is is often useful in the spring, adult moles are usually able to escape, only to return to the area later.

TRAPPING AND REMOVAL

Moles are one of the most difficult pests to contain and control, especially in the case of an invasion, so call us today to help you with your mole situation. Our team of professionals are qualified and dedicated to serving our clients and will do everything in their power to eradicate the problem and discourage future infestations.
